Late Bills(Mail Service)
The Utility has received numerous calls regarding the non-delivery of monthly bills that are mailed through the United States Postal Service(USPS). The office has reported this to the USPS on numerous occasions and we encourage you all to report this as well. If you have not received your bill by the 5th of the month, please call our office at 601-583-0647 to get the amount of your bill. This will help prevent service interruptions and late fees. Glendale Utility District Water User Agreement states we do not waive charges as a result of failure to remit proper payment when it is due. Bills are due by the 15th of every month, We hope this clarifies all rules about payments and late charges. There are multiple ways to make payments. Call our office and ask for more information about drop box, drive-thru, bank draft, on-line payments or by phone. We thank you for understanding.
First, Glendale Utility District hopes everyone is safe and out of harm's way. In the event of upcoming bad weather, we hope that all of our customers have prepared. (Please read article "Time for Preparedness") In the case of loss of power and or water, Glendale once again reminds everyone to always have a back up supply of water for bathing and drinking. Yes, the utility has generators, but water loss still does happen. Our water tanks may drain when and if the power goes out. North of Eatonville Road will be the first to feel the low water pressure until the generators fill the tanks back up to capacity. Pease call us at our office number at 601-583-0647 in the event that you lose water completely. Please leave messages of your emergency due to the volume of calls. Please understand, our crews will restore water when weather conditions are safe. Thank you and be safe.

Glendale Utility District has received many calls about not receiving monthly statements. We generate and mail bills the last week of each month so customers should receive them around the 1st of each month. If you have not received your bill by the 5th, please call our office at 601.583.0647 to get your amount due. Whether you get your statement or not, payment is still due by the 15th. Late charges of 15% will be applied to any account with a balance at 3pm on the 15th.
Many of our customers use their bank's online Bill Pay option. This has caused some confusion. This payment is not an automatic or electronic payment. Your bank will send Glendale Utilities a paper check via the U.S. Postal Service. Keep in mind, we may not receive it by their estimated time and may cause late charges to be added to your account. The best way to avoid late charges are to drop a check or money order in one of our two drop boxes before the 15th. You can also use your debit/credit card online or over the phone. Merchant Card Services charges a small fee to use a card. Glendale Utilities also offers auto draft, free of charge. You will need to come in to our office and sign a form with a voided check to get started. We hope this information is useful to avoid any further confusion about billing and payments.
